Situated on your very own 14 acres of lush green land, with over 500 metres of creek frontage. McCarthy Grove is where Fryers and Walkers creek join at our quaint English inspired bridge and continues on to the beautiful Baroon Pocket Dam.

Berries, Fruit and Nuts

Fruit Orchard (over 40 trees including Orange varieties, Lemon varieties, Apricots, Grapefruit, Kumquats, Finger Limes, Custard Apple and plenty more to fill your hamper) There is also 10 fully grown Mulberry trees consisting of both Black and White berry varieties. If all of this isn't enough there is a huge Pecan nut tree next to the drive way, and a very healthy Macadamia Nut tree also.

The Creeks - Walkers and Fryers

Flowing through McCarthy Grove are 2 creeks and approximately 30 metres before the bridge is the junction where the 2 creeks meet. This being such a special place we have restored the the creek edging to it's former glory so that children and adults alike can choose to come right to the the waters edge and even go in. This is the same body of water that flows to Gardners Falls just a few minutes down stream. Swimming in the creek

Bird and Wildlife watching

At dawn and dusk each day you will hear the romance of the local King parrots, Eastern Rosellas, Black Cockatoo's, Finches, Kookaburras, Lyrebirds, Bush Turkeys, Kingfishers all singing, and see the skies and grounds come alive with activity with some of the 'local' bearded dragons coming out to sun themselves...along with this head down to the creek to see the water birds, duck families, fish, turtles and if you are up super early you may catch a glimpse of the resident platypus churning up the creek beds in search for food

Nature Walks

If you are looking to stretch the legs and clear the lungs, there is just the right amount of property to be able to walk around the 2 back paddocks for a look, listen and feel of the changing environments. You will find a few beautiful iconic Fig Trees on the hillside and a favourite with the kids is the Beech tree area standing at our second house site (construction late 2020). There are some wonderful areas along the creek to discover closer to the house also.

Campfires

Our newest addition to McCarthy Grove is the outdoor camp fire pit. Constructed with large stones from the back paddocks on the property and with the help of an experienced crew, the excavator and a whole lot of inspiration. This is sure to be a favourite for the outdoor lovers keen to share a fireside story and reconnect with your wild side...

Within 200m of McCarthy Grove and directly opposite is the iconic Maleny Dairy, family owned and operated; the Dairy Farm offers fully guided farm tractor tours operating daily along with tours of the factory, an onsite café and the ability to try first-hand the national award winning produce of Maleny Dairies, the cornerstone of the local dairy and tourism industry and a must visit if you are in the region.

Beer and Wine

Award Winning Brewery Brouhaha - a great venue to try local produce and indulge in good times. Maleny Mountain Wines, Flame hill Vineyard, Mason Wines. Maleny Hotel Maleny RSL Sub Branch
